Events - Event View

This ride is an A Minus ride.  These rides are somewhat faster than a B+ ride with much of the speed increase coming from riding in a pace line. As such, participants should possess strong bike handling skills and be comfortable in a pace line. E-Bikes are welcome. This is a no drop ride. 

The A Minus guidelines with cruising speeds typically in the 19 mph range and an average ride speed in the 18+ mph range will be observed. Of course, weather, terrain, and other riding conditions will have an impact on our speed. Our pace line will rotate every 1-2 miles so everyone has a chance to ride out front (and get some rest in between!)

Due to the hotter weather we will shorten the ride and stop late in the ride in Vistancia for coffee at Northwest Coffee (we may call an audible due to popular demand) to mitigate the heat. Something like 40 miles Safeway to Safeway. We will cut out the Berrena Bypass and the extra doubling back on El Mirage to keep the mileage down. Those wanting more miles can add them in Vistancia. Please hydrate well before, during and after the ride and bring the nutrition you need to maintain your energy.
